It is so cool with the different choices of upgrades you can have for the different turrets. The variety in enemies and their special powers is great. I especially like how there are different lands to work though, with a boss at the end of each. I've gotten through the whole game, and I'm going back through to try and get 3 stars for all levels.. A simple yet brilliant tower defense game with more depth than it first appears.You level up your skills and customize your specializations which tweaks your approach to how you play the game.Unsure of whether you will like it?Go search for "cursed treasure", the first game is available to play for free on various flash gaming websites. If you enjoy that, this is an improvement in almost every aspect. The learning curve can be a bit steep, but replay some missions, level up your abilities, change up your customizations and try again.I probably put 100+ hours into the original playing for free, and I'm happy to support #2 here on steam as it's fairly cheap for how many hours it can give you.. This is a fun, campy tower defense game. It's well designed and well balanced. I 100%'d the game in about 15 hours without significant difficulty, but it was an enjoyable experience. I had no issues at all with crashes or lost save data. If those were problems at some point as others have noted, they've since been fixed and are no longer present.If you enjoy tower defense games you will enjoy this game. For the price it's worth it.. The Cursed Treasure series offer a unique approach to Tower Defense games that is definitely worth checking out.By the way, it is entirely possible to 100% the game without repeating any level and without using skulls. (Except for the Monument challenge, it's best to just do it at Max rank once you clear the game.). Tower Defense with a nice cartoony look, 24 well crafted maps, and 18 different towers (3 basic, 6 mid tier, 9 high end). You upgrade skills between levels due to XP gain per level. It plays smoothly and has enough options for a 2D PC game. If you are stuck, you can grind a bit for XP or skulls (needed for OP spells), that make your life easier. Beating it is a challenge, Beating it with 3 star ratings on the last 3 levels seems impossible without some heavy skull grinding. If you like tower defense games, you probably already know this one. But if you want to know, if you like it, play the free browser version. Bought the game yesterday - already played 7 hours.It feels familiar, and fresh at the same time - good mix of old and new:Graphics, some tower placing/enemy waves/experience gain after beating a map mechanics feel very familiar.Gems needed to be stolen and carried all the way back by monsters, towers becoming upgradable after killing enough enemies during current game - that is a nice and refreshing change compared to most TD games I played.Game feels like it's medium in size and complexity, but for the money It's a good value IMO.All in all, it'd rate it 8/10. Why are there no hotkeys for towers and abilities??? That's incretibly frustrating!.
